about
…Since my early teens I’ve had a passion for health and fitness and started teaching classes at the age of 17 whilst studying at college and university. I’ve been in the health and wellness sector in the uk (North East) for the past 23 years. During this time, I have delivered and managed Health Improvement Programmes for the NHS including Food and Health and Physical Activity. Whilst at the same time delivering a vast array of group exercise classes via private clubs and major gym chains.
In 2008 I had my first child, and I attended a physio-led postnatal fitness class where I discovered I had Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) a condition which I’d never heard of, and I developed it again with my second child in 2010. It was this condition that sparked my interest in Pre and Postnatal Fitness and I discovered there was a lack of knowledge about the condition and provision of Fitness Classes. I undertook my Level 3 Pre and Postnatal qualification and Level 3 Pilates in 2005 and left employment in 2007 to start teaching fitness full time and set up ‘From Bump and Beyond Fitness’ specialising in Pre and Postnatal Fitness and Pilates Classes for women of all ages. Over the last 9 years business has gone from strength to strength and I’ve added more classes to my timetable.
When Covid hit I quickly shifted to teaching online classes and attracted a wider audience of busy women wanting quick effective workouts at home. I absolutely loved it and have never looked back. I have the best of both worlds now with an online offering and in person classes to help so many other busy women achieve their health, fitness and wellbeing goals.
Take a look at both my Community Classes and Online Memberships to see how I can help you to achieve your goals.
